Br. Andrew was always a gracious host and would help strangers that were in need of a place to stay. In late 2016 I contacted him to help the father of a family from Aleppo, Syria who would be traveling to the U.S. from Syria and in need of a place to stay while he was getting a visa at the U.S. Embassy. Br. Andrew was able to help and eased the journey of our friend. Since our friend was a surgeon, Br. Andrew, who liked to “wheel and deal”(pingelen), negotiated in exchange for staying at the school that Dr. Gahnoum would teach first aid to the staff as a small thank you to Br. Andrew for his assistance. I am sure this is only one of countless stories about Br. Andrew’s helping others and in return receiving help for the school.“

Br. Andrew, God speed until we meet again.
