First Jordanian exchange of Deaf education and Sign Language interpreting

This week a delegation comprised of 8 participants; 5 Deaf and 3 hearing from المجلس الأعلى لحقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة (the Jordanian Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities) is in Holland for the first Jordanian exchange of information on Deaf Education and Sign Language Interpreting. The project is funded by KOICA Jordan Office (Korea International Cooperation Agency).
The Carpenter’s Son foundation facilitates an 8 day program on Sign Language interpreting education, Sign Language expertise, Deaf education, interpreting organisations and Dutch (Deaf) culture.

With this exchange both countries hope to gain insights using each other’s expertise on Deaf education and Sign Language (interpreting) skills. We will share with you more information in the coming days.
