Advice and guidance by development expert Dirk R Frans

Brother Andrew was an international authority and expert in the areas for which we were established as a foundation. He had a broad network, took care of the projects and the management thereof. With the passing of Brother Andrew, we as a foundation get a direct role in the network that has been built up, as well as in the support of projects.

We find it important to select, support and supervise projects in the Middle East in a professional manner. That is why we want to develop that knowledge and skills. We are extremely grateful that we will receive advice and guidance from development expert Dirk R Frans. He works as a consultant for non-profit organizations working in countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan. He lives in The Netherlands in Dordrecht and has also met Brother Andrew himself.

Together with Dirk, we will investigate options in the coming period to build a strong network with great projects, in line with our foundation goals. Dirk acts as our critical mirror. Dirk: “As a development expert, I find the inventory of the network and the contacts of The Carpenter’s Son Foundation impressive. How viable are these initiatives and contacts? How can these projects be supported locally, to continue or expand the work in the region? These questions must be answered in the foreseeable future”. Dirk will also prepare us practically for the planned network trip later this year, in which we want to visit many (project) contacts.

As a board, we look forward to this next step in the development of our foundation.
