The 5 Deaf and 3 hearing representatives from the Jordanian Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities are safely back in Jordan. They completed the intensive 8-days program with visits to schools and organisations for deaf education and interpreter training.

The last school we visited was Kentalis Compas College Zaltbommel, a secondary school for deaf and hard of hearing. A Deaf employee prepared an interesting program.
Deaf culture, gym and future cooperation?
There are several special education schools in Holland and one of them is Signis primary Deaf school in Amsterdam, which is part of Koninklijke Kentalis.
About Sign Language, bimodal education and Deaf identity
Besides the secondary Kentalis Guyotschool in Groningen, the Exchange participants also visited the primary Auris Dr. M. Polanoschool in Rotterdam.

What was going on? The sails of the mill of Nijeveen suddenly started turning; on a Sunday! That is very unusual. But a visit of the Jordanian delegation to Nijeveen is indeed a special occasion.
